Pascal's Arithmetic Machine was a calculator, and considered the very first working calculator in thte 17th century, that was developed and revealed by Blaise Pascal in 1645. This machine came after the slide rule . It had a carry mechanism, which consisted of wheels that added from 1 to 9 and then was carried over to the next wheel so that it would add or subtract those numbers by repetition. At this time Pascal's Machine was predominantly made for scientists and accountants. Additionally, it was designed in two different forms, one for decimals and another for non-decimals.
